CHEEKY SOCIAL POST WITH CTA

DRESSED LIKE THAT, SHE WAS ASKING FOR IT.

She was dressed in red.

I noticed her from down the street and made my way over.

Almost exactly two years ago (on Valentines Day, in fact) my father had his first heart attack.

He'd always hated going to the doctor, so his heart condition simmered away in his chest, undiagnosed, until it was too late.

It was only a few months later, at Easter time, that he died.

I made my way over to the girl in the bright red bib and gave her my donation. She was asking for it.

Your 1-2-3 for today:

1. If you're inclined to join me in supporting heart research, find the people in the bright red bibs and donate to the Heart Foundation of New Zealand Big Heart Appeal, on now.

2. Go to the bloody doctor and get yourself checked.

3. Donating to someone in a charity bib is the only excuse for using the sentence above.
